In January 2023, Fr. Jagdish Parmar S.J, National Director of PWPN and EYM had a unique opportunity to contribute to the spiritual development and community-building efforts in West Bengal and the North East regions of India, particularly in the states of Assam and Meghalaya.

In Krishnanagar Diocese, besides meeting the new Bishop, he was able to address 25 Seminarians of Orientation Seminary and 48 Sisters of Mary Immaculate. In Assam too he was able to go to two Orientations Seminaries with 66 Seminarians, one Minor Seminary with 63 Seminarians and one Major Seminary with 125 Seminarians. While in Shillong, he was able to meet the new Archbishop and address 43 Minor Seminarians and also addressed the 17 Jesuit and 13 Divine Mercy Congregation’s Novices.

Overall, his contribution to the outreach program in West Bengal and the North East regions of India highlights the power of prayer and spiritual development in building stronger, more resilient communities. By promoting a culture of prayer and compassion, the network can help to bring people together, build bridges between different groups, and work towards a more just and peaceful world.
